Making automation feel human.
Nova is a speculative AI workflow platform for operations teams. The design challenge was to make powerful automation understandable, inspectable, and easy to act on.

Nova AI explores how an operations team could create, monitor, and improve AI-assisted workflows from one focused workspace. The interface combines agent status, workflow logic, activity history, and performance signals without overwhelming the user.

The strategy
The direction was to organize the product around three moments: configure the workflow, observe the workflow, and improve the workflow. Each moment receives a distinct visual hierarchy while remaining part of one continuous system.
UX process
The experience starts with a focused overview, then progressively reveals detail. Primary actions remain close to the current state of the system instead of being hidden inside secondary navigation.

Visual design
A near-black interface creates focus around the workflow canvas. Warm white typography keeps long sessions comfortable, while electric yellow is reserved for actions, status changes, and moments that require attention.
Design system
The interface uses a compact set of reusable primitives: status indicators, workflow nodes, data rows, activity panels, and action controls. This keeps the product consistent as more agents, integrations, and workflows are added.
